I’m A Grumpy Old Bear In Need Of Hibernation
Posted by adminFeb 22
Yes that’s me. I’m like a bear needing hibernation. I originally started this post about how overwhelmed I’ve been and grumpy and then I realized ..
I have been that grumpy old bear.
Bears mess up your garbage:
My desk is a mess. And I’m not a messy desk person. I’m normally very organized. I’m very good about addressing small inbox issues and setting time aside for more difficult projects. That isn’t happening. And my messy desk makes me scatterbrained.
Smokey the Bear warns us of fires:
I still haven’t done a review about my Eureka sleeping bag. Seeing that I’m not your woodsy kind of girl, I plan on camping out in my living room and hopefully make a few s’mores over candlelight. Pray I don’t burn the house down, which I’ve come close. And pray I don’t burn a hole in my sleeping bag, which I’ve done with a blanket.
Bears will attack:
I’ve had a few scheduled phone conferences I’ve re-scheduled more times than I change clothes. For the past few months I’ve had a phone stuck to my ear, pen in hand and papers everywhere. I’ve looked for my glasses more times than I can remember only to find them on my head. Have I mentioned I haven’t even started my taxes? Or talked to my Mother all week? Or my husband Mark? And believe me, for their own good, it’s best. Bear attack.
Speaking of which;
Bears have sharp claws:
I use to. Long red or pink nails that could do some damage. But I declawed myself.
Bears hibernate for the winter:
Umm maybe my husband can go on a month long hunt somewhere. Or better yet, maybe I could run away for a month to a cabin in the woods with no one around. No phone. No TV. Just me, pizzas, wine and a fireplace.
And a walkie talkie.
To call a Ranger.
In case I see a bear.
Or a spider.
Or heard a noise.
Ranger: Can someone head out to bear cabin #3 again…that crazy pizza lady thought she heard someone screaming.
Have a good weekend everyone!
Oh wait I forget:
Bears are hairy:
Just another reason my husband shouldn’t talk to me this week.
Loving the bear photo? It’s from outdoor photographer Stacey Huston. And she sells them. If you love decorating by bringing the outdoors indoors. She has some beautiful photos.
